When Delaney got home from school yesterday there was a little note taped to our front door that we needed to go to the Post Office to pick a very special package just for her.
When we got to the Post Office, we picked up the package and we were surprised to find that it came with all sorts of forms and documents because this extra special package had to go through customs. You see this extra special package has been traveling for over 10 days to make it here from Australia!
That's right, Grandma Barb and Grandpa Don sent Delaney a package from their trip. And now you're probably wondering what was in the package???
It was an extra special pair of pink Uggs with a little koala and a little kangaroo stuffed inside of them!
You see when Grandma Barb and Grandpa Don went to Australia 2 years ago, they brought Delaney back 2 pairs of Uggs. One pair to fit in right then and a pair to grow into. Well of course, she has out grown both pairs by now and right before Barb and Don left for their big trip Delaney was telling Grandma Barb that she wanted new pink boots since her old ones were to small. So Grandma Barb went out of her way to find Delaney a pair even though they were only in Australia for a limited time.
Here's the happy package receiver now (with a cheesy grin) showing off her gifts.

Oh, and just in case you were wondering Barb and Don are in Japan now!

Just left a comment and it just disappeared into cyberspace! Glad that Delaney got the package and that the UGGS fit, or at least are big enough to fit for awhile and that the little friends inside are OK. We're not in Japan any longer. left a couple of hours ago and will be in Korea day after tomorrow. Will have to update my blog since I'm a bit behind. Maybe I'll have time tomorrow.
It is sad when your 3 year old niece has more stylish foot wear than you do.
