The Big 7

We had a great time celebrating Delaney's 7th birthday yesterday.

We went to the Boardwalk in Santa Cruz. We had a lot of fun riding all the rides. And yes, it appears I may have more pictures of Kylie than Delaney at the Boardwalk but that's just because we split up a few times and I stayed with Kylie on the kiddie rides while Chris and Delaney rode "big kid" rides.

Delaney and Kylie did ride their fair share of kids rides together though. And Kylie was so excited to get to ride all these rides like a big girl. And she even rode a few by herself! (Now if only I could get her to smile for the camera. She is all smiles till the camera comes out that then she turns into a grouch!)

The dragon ride is on of Delaney's favorite kiddie rides at the Boardwalk.

Delaney and Kylie also love the carousal..

Chris loves the pirate ship ride but he always has to go on by himself because Delaney says it looks too scary!

We ran into the Boardwalk mascot, Loo.

And, Delaney and Kylie both loved this little helicopter ride. In fact they had to ride it together several times.

And a bonus is that you have a great view from the helicopters!

I shared an ice cream cone with Kylie which was a big mistake!

She was a sticky mess afterwards!

This is Delaney and Daddy on their absolute favorite ride at the Boardwalk, the Log Ride. They rode it a few times in a row and got soaked!

Here is Kylie riding an appropriately named boat, the Crabster.

And after watching Delaney and Daddy ride the dragon coaster a few times, Kylie thought she was supposed to put her hands up in the air on all the rides.

And after all that fun at the Boardwalk, we came home and opened presents and had cake!
