Delaney had her first soccer game of the season yesterday. She ended up on a great team this year, with some pretty green uniforms. And just in case you were wondering, this year she is number 4.
Delaney played great yesterday. She showed some hustle and actually kicked the ball several times. It's sort of hard to see but in the next 3 pictures, Delaney is in the lead kicking the ball.
And this picture is sort of hard to see but it lead up to the greatest soccer moment of Delaney's life so far. Shortly after this picture was taken, Delaney scored her first goal ever. HOORAY!
Delaney was ecstatic after scoring her first goal ever. She could not stop smiling!
And even after scoring the goal, Delaney continued to play a great game.
At one point the other team was about to score a goal and Delaney threw herself on the ground in front of the goal to block the ball from going in. Hopefully Delaney continues to play like a soccer superstar for the rest of the season!
