Go Pink Panthers!!!

Delaney had her first soccer game of the season this afternoon. And we scored this year... Much to Delaney's delight, we finally ended up on a team with pink uniforms. Hooray! And because of their bright pink uniforms the girls named themselves the Pink Panthers this year.

Delaney  also moved up in the soccer league this season. This is the first time she has played with a goalie and that the girls have had to play actual positions. In the past it was just a mass free for all of all the girls clustered around the ball.

Delaney is number 4. She has a big bow in her hair in all these pictures.

This whole game was a new experience for Delaney but I think she did well for her first try playing big girl soccer. She stayed in position like she was supposed too and even managed to kick the ball a few times.

Sadly, Delaney's team lost 0 to 3, but that's okay. The team they played against was more experienced than her team. (Delaney has the same coach and a few of the same teammates as last year but like Delaney they all just moved up to this level of play also.)

And, as for the spectators at the game... This one was mad at life because her sister had a soccer game during her nap time! I'm sure the other players friends and family sitting around us enjoyed her little outbursts immensely.

Here's to hoping Delaney's team actually scores a goal at their next game and that Delaney's sister behaves herself a little better.
