Warning...these are all blurry pictures from my iPhone...
Delaney's class took a field trip to Casa de Fruta on Friday. The purpose of the field trip was for a Teddy Bear Picnic.
Part of Delaney's kindergarten math unit involved learning about different kinds of patterns this year. This even included sewing patterns. Every child in kindergarten got to make a bear in class this year. Below is Delaney's bear. We had to use a pattern to cut it out at home and sew the eyes and nose on. Another parent then sewed the majority of the bear shut. Then in class, Delaney and her friends stuffed their bears and got to help sew them closed.
We did lots of fun activities at Casa de Fruta like mining for gems, and riding the train and the carousel. But the highlight for Delaney and her classmates was getting to take their bears on a picnic. Below are Delaney and her classmates showing off their bears before the picnic.
And here are a few shots of Delaney on the carousel. She chose to ride in the carriage chair.
And thanks to Grandma Barb for watching Kylie so I could go on this fun field trip with Delaney.
