Call Sunset Magazine...
So it might not be a cake or some fancy pie but I had to make an extra large batch of home made play dough for Delaney's class and I'm surprised at how well it turned out. It's smooth and actually feels like play dough.
My only disappointment was that I was trying to make it red for Christmas, and it came out sort of pink. But then again I went into this knowing that could happen.

Very nice work. It looks red-ish in the photo. I heard that the food coloring that comes in a paster form is really good for getting a dark red.
I was looking for the food coloring in paste form but couldn't find it anywhere in our po-dunk town. So I tried gel food coloring which I had never used before either and it came out pinkish.
