Here are the few pictures from Delaney's class birthday celebration on Thursday.
We took in cupcakes and apple juice for the 38 kids in her class to enjoy.
And yes, you read that correctly there are 38 kids in her kindergarten class.
We can thank the state of California's budget fiasco for such a large class size.
Anyways, enough of my rambling. Delaney had a great time celebrating with her class. And this was the first the time that Delaney has actually got to go to school on her birthday since the Pre-school she went to didn't start until after Labor Day.
You can probably see from these pictures that pouring juice and handing out a cupcake to that many kids is quite a chore...
But even though serving that many kids was a chore, it was worth it. Delaney was so excited to be able to celebrate with all her new friends.
And just this evening, we got some good news. Delaney's school will be hiring some new teachers so the class sizes will go down. And best of all is that Delaney will more than likely get to stay in her current classroom with her teacher, whom we love. Although Delaney will probably be a tiny bit sad that some of her new friends will be moving to a new class with a new teacher.
Stay tuned for pictures from Delaney's birthday celebration at home...
Oh, and not that anyone cares but this was my 400th blog post.
