Go Team Canada!

Last week Delaney's school held an Olympic Day. It is a fun day where all the classes are assigned a country and then compete against each other in Olympic type games. Before Olympic Day, each class also studies their assigned country to learn about it. This year Delaney's class represented Canada.

We were actually really lucky to get Canada because Grandma Barb and Grandpa Don where in Canada briefly right around the time Delaney's class learned they were going to be representing that country. Grandma Barb was nice enough to do a little shopping while she was there and got the girls cute Canada shirts to wear. And she also picked up a Canadian flag for us and enough Canadian flag stickers for Delaney to give to her entire class. Delaney was a very popular girl on Olympic Day since she had fun stickers to give her class. Thanks again Grandma Barb!

Here's Delaney's class running on to the field at the start of Olympic Day and participating in a class huddle.

Delaney and all her classmates made the shirts they are wearing. They have a red maple leaf on them and their hand prints.

I was too busy chasing Kylie during Olympic Day that I only managed to get a picture of Delaney competing in two of the events. Here she is doing a playground obstacle course and learning to play hockey.

They also competed in several other fun events like races, basketball, hula hooping, etc.

And here's the youngest member of Team Canada. She was running all over the place wreaking havoc, during the Games.

This is isn't the greatest picture but you can see the super cool Team Canada shirt that Grandma Barb picked up for her.

And later in the afternoon, Delaney's school held a closing ceremony for Olympic Day for their entire school. Delaney got to lead her class into the ceremony carrying the Canadian flag that Grandma Barb bought for her. But unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of that because it happened during Kylie's nap and we didn't get to go. :(

Oh, and just in case you were wondering. We still have a little witch living in our house. She would wear this costume 24/7 if we would let her!
