A couple of Saturday's a go we went apple picking with Delaney's Girl Scout troop. We had a lot of fun picking apples despite the fact that it was super hot that day. (Speaking of Girl Scouts - Thanks again to everyone who bought nuts and magazines from Delaney's Girl Scout troop! We really appreciate it and will get your orders to you soon!)
We have also been busy getting ready for Halloween. We have been to Target about a bazillion times to try on these silly Halloween wigs.
We also went to Gilroy Gardens and toured their Halloween decorations and activities. They girls got to trick or treat in the park, and they got to complete a scavenger hunt to get a goody bag. Kylie got this mask in her goody bag, which she insisted on wearing it. And it crept Delaney out. Delaney thought Kylie looked scary in it.
Delaney had her school Walk A Thon two weeks ago. She met her fundraising goal and earned a special lunch with her school mascot. Thanks again to everyone who sponsored her!
Delaney also had her school's Fall Carnival last week. I worked with two other Mom's to create a scarecrow to represent Delaney's class at the carnival. This is what we came up with, he is a Giant's Fan.
The girls had a lot of fun at the carnival, playing games, eating treats and getting their faces painted.
We also ran into some cool Jack and Sally scarecrows at the carnival!
Then today we decided to drive over to Santa Cruz and hit up the Boardwalk after Delaney's soccer game. Both of the girls enjoyed a nutrious, healthy lunch of a fried potato on a stick! :)
Delaney tried a game a where she had to climb a rope ladder with out losing her balance. She didn't win but she had fun!
Delaney, Chris, and Kylie hit up some of their favorite rides.
And then before we left Santa Cruz, Delaney waded into the ocean to collect a little salt water. Delaney's Girl Scout troop is learning about ecology and our water supply. They have been challenged to bring in any type of water to their next Girl Scout meeting. The water could be from your faucet, a pond, stream, melted snow, etc. So of course, Delaney wanted water from the ocean.
And last but not least here's a picture of Kylie and a Snow Monster at KMart. She's trying to convince Chris to buy him for our Christmas display this year.

I loved all the new pictures. The girls look so cute.
Those log ride pictures gave me a little anxiety when I looked at them. Good thing Delaney is so brave.
